Sakina Itoo: Left-Out Class 10 Students Can Now Write Remaining Exams

Education Minister Sakina Itoo announced on Wednesday that Class 10 students who missed their first board exam paper will still be allowed to write the remaining papers. She mentioned that around 24 to 25 students, mostly from private schools, faced this issue. “I don’t understand how these schools manage their system,” she added. To prevent such problems, Itoo had already instructed school officials a month before the exams to ensure that no student was left out. She had warned that if any student’s exam form was not submitted, the school would be held responsible. Now, she has assured that all affected students will be allowed to take the rest of their exams. “I have informed the chairman, and these students will be permitted to sit for all the remaining papers,” she confirmed. Regarding the government’s plans after schools reopen following winter vacations, Itoo stated that efforts are being made to update the syllabus with relevant topics. “Many outdated topics are still being taught. I have set up a committee of subject experts to review and suggest updates, including essential subjects like traffic rules,” she added.
