KU Launches 3-Day Adventure Tourism Training Programme

The University of Kashmir (KU), in partnership with the Jammu and Kashmir Mountaineering and Adventure Club (JKMAC), launched a three-day adventure tourism training programme on Tuesday. The event aims to equip students with hands-on skills and industry knowledge in adventure tourism. According to a KU statement, the training is designed for students of the Masters in Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) course. It blends classroom lessons with outdoor activities, covering topics such as adventure tourism trends, operational challenges, mountaineering gear, safety measures, and adventure documentaries. KU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nilofer Khan, encouraged students to take full advantage of this opportunity. She emphasized that adventure tourism is a growing field with vast potential and highlighted the university’s dedication to sustainable tourism and skill development.
