
The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas in the Kashmir Valley from October 23 to November 6, 2025. These outages are part of routine maintenance and upgradation works on various 33 kV lines to improve the reliability and efficiency of the power supply.
The shutdowns will affect multiple regions, with specific dates and times designated for each area. For instance, on October 23, power will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM in areas served by the 33 kV Tral-I and Tral-II (AIIMS Awantipora) lines, impacting localities such as Tral, Dadsara, Chewa, Aripal, and Awantipora. Similarly, on October 25, 27, and 30, the 33 kV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will be shut down, affecting power supply to areas including Arhama, Pinjoora, Trenz, and Killora.
Other notable shutdowns include the 33 kV Kanipora–Batapora line on October 26, impacting Batapora, Shopian Town, and Meemandhar, and the 33 kV Lassipora–Reshipora line on October 23, affecting Zainapora, Chitragam, and Turkawangam. Additionally, the 33 kV Lassipora–Landoora line will be off on October 25 and 29, disrupting supply to Landoora, Mooman, and Wachi.
KPDCL has advised residents and business establishments in the affected areas to plan accordingly and cooperate during the maintenance period.
