6 Day Itinerary

Day1- (Arrival, Adjust and a grand-start!)- Dal Lake

Accommodation- New Light Group of Houseboats OR Similar

Upon arrival at the Srinagar Airport or station, meet our representative and drive to Srinagar. Welcome for your stay in Houseboat. Enjoy the dinner and breakfast in the amazingly scenic houseboat. Take a stroll along the shores of lake which stretches for kilometres. There is a lot of fun in the Dal Lake, visitors can take a relaxing Shikara ride, gliding through the calm waters while enjoying the panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Floating garden is one of the highlights of the Dal Lake. You can go boating, kayaking, and other water sports. For anyone who loves viewing birds, Dal Lake is a paradise. Witness the breathtaking beauty of sunrise and sunset at Dal Lake and it offers a serene and peaceful environment that is perfect for relaxation and meditation. Overnight Stay in Houseboat.

Day 2 (Excursion to Gulmarg / 55 Kms / 2 Hours)

After breakfast drive to Gulmarg “Meadow of Flowers” 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of around 55 kms are covered in about 2 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. Enjoy the Cable Car Known as Gondola ride OR other activities. Overnight stay in hotel in Gulmarg.

Day 3 (Excursion to Sonamarg 125 Kms / 3.5 Hours)

After breakfast drive to Sonamarg “Meadow of Gold”. The distance of 125 kms from Gulmarg will be covered in about less than 3.5 hrs and return to Srinagar 80 kms is covered in less than 2.5 hours. Sonmarg is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, stunning natural beauty and picturesque meadows. Moreover, the place also serves as the gateway to several hiking trails such as the Amarnath Cave and Thajiwas Glacier. Some of the amazing places in Sonamarg are Baltal Valley, Thajiwas Glacier, Zojila Pass and Snow Point. One can spend evening by strolling along the river or paying a quick visit to Sarbal Village. In the evening, let’s return to Srinagar. Overnight stay in hotel in Srinagar.

Day 4 (Srinagar City Tour – Part-I)

Day 5 (Excursion to Pahalgam / 90 Kms / 3 Hours)

Accommodation – Hotel Pahalgam View OR Similar

After breakfast, we drive to Pahalgam, Valley of Shepards. After entering into Anantnag the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder river flowing from the opposite direction. The sightseeing on the way also presents Saffron fields and Awantipora cricket bat factory. In Pahalgam check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Visit Baisaran meadows (called mini-Switzerland) and have fun horse riding across the valley. Visit Betab Valley, some 12 kms from Pahalgam, the name given on movie, Betaab (it was shot here!). Don’t forget to explore snow bridge and stunning beauty of Chandanwari, a place around 15 kms from Pahalgam which is also the starting point of Amarnath Yatra. A union-transport is mode of the transportation to explore above mentioned places around Pahalgam. Overnight stay in hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 6 (Return from Pahalgam, Relax & Shopping/City tour part-II)

After returning from Pahalgam, it is your shopping day! Srinagar is a popular shopping haven for handicrafts with wooden carving and products made out of walnut wood. You can also check the handloom line that flaunts the remarkable Kashmiri embroidery. There are also pretty papier mache products. Other famous products to buy in Srinagar are carpets, Kashmiri Pashminas, copperware, spices etc. Some of the famous markets out here are Lal Chowk, Residency Road, Zaina Kadal Market, Goni Khan Market, Jama Masjid Nohata, City Mall etc. Overnight stay in hotel in Srinagar.

Day 7 (Goodbye! and departure)

In winters sometimes due to heavy snowfall, it is observed that sometimes only 4by4 or snow-special vehicles* are allowed from Tangmarg to Gulmarg or at some places, the charges for such vehicles are to be paid by the guest.
