Baramulla Police has advised tourists against travelling towards the interior areas of Mulbangil and Batoo via the Hajibal–Babareshi axis, citing safety concerns.
According to a police spokesperson, authorities have recently noticed an increase in tourist movement along the route, with some visits being facilitated by tourism operators, guides, and transport providers. The spokesperson clarified that the Qazipora–Ziran–Batoo–Mulbangil–Hajibal route is not part of any officially notified tourist circuit and passes through remote areas where emergency response and visitor assistance facilities are limited.
To ensure public safety and discourage travel to locations not designated for tourism activities, Baramulla Police has decided to regulate and prohibit tourist movement on the route with immediate effect. The restrictions will remain in place until further notice, the spokesperson added.
