High-Level Team To Review Progress Of Upcoming Airport In Kishtwar

Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that a five-member high-level delegation from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will visit Kishtwar today for a two-day review of the upcoming airport project. The visit is part of the Centre’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme, which focuses on improving regional air connectivity and linking remote areas with major cities. During their stay, the officials will inspect the proposed site, hold meetings with district authorities and technical experts, and assess the feasibility, infrastructure requirements, and progress made so far on the project. Minister Singh said the airport would be a major boost for Kishtwar’s connectivity and economic development, opening new opportunities for tourism, trade, and investment in the region. He added that the government is committed to accelerating work on key infrastructure projects to ensure balanced growth across Jammu and Kashmir.
