The Class 11 exams in the soft zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir will take place as planned today, according to an official from the JK Board.
The official clarified that no exams were scheduled in hard zone areas today, and the exams for Class 11 students in soft zone areas will proceed without changes.
“At this point, postponing the exam would not be practical as the message may not reach all centers. So, we have decided to conduct the exam as per the schedule,” the JK Board official stated.
However, the official assured that students unable to reach the exam center due to snowfall will be given another chance in the coming days, during the exams in hard zone areas.
“No student will face any disadvantage. Those who miss today’s exam can take it later when the same subject is conducted in hard zones,” the official added.
According to the schedule set by the JK Board of School Education (JKBOSE), exams for subjects like Computer Science, Physical Education, Environmental Science, Food Technology, Electronics, Hotel Management, Vedic Studies, Buddhist Studies, and a few others are planned for today in soft zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
For hard zone areas, the exams for these subjects are scheduled for March 3, 2025.
“If any student from soft zone areas is unable to attend today’s exam due to snowfall, they will be accommodated and allowed to take the exam with students from hard zone areas,” the official confirmed.
